Italian Level A2 – Course Overview
Italian Level A2 is designed to help students strengthen their foundation in the language and build more practical communication skills. This course focuses on expanding vocabulary and improving the ability to navigate everyday situations with greater confidence.
Topics Covered:
- Talking About Daily Life and Routines
Enhance your ability to describe your daily activities, including work, family life, and hobbies, using a broader range of vocabulary.
- Past Tenses (Passato Prossimo and Imperfetto)
Develop the ability to narrate events and describe situations in the past using both the passato prossimo and imperfetto tenses.
- Expressing Preferences, Opinions, and Suggestions
Learn how to express preferences, opinions, and make suggestions in a polite and effective manner.
- Future Plans and Ambitions
Gain the ability to discuss future plans, intentions, and aspirations using basic future structures.
- Dealing with Everyday Situations
Practice handling practical situations such as shopping, going to the doctor, asking for information, and making reservations.
- Understanding and Discussing Italian Culture
Discover Italian cultural aspects, including traditions, festivities, and customs, as they relate to everyday life.
Skills Acquired:
- Listening & Speaking: Improve your understanding of everyday conversations and your ability to respond appropriately in a variety of situations, with increased focus on sentence complexity and fluency.
- Reading & Writing: Read more diverse materials like short articles, informal letters, and instructions. Write emails, notes, and short essays with greater grammatical accuracy.
Learning Outcomes:
By completing Italian Level A2, you will be able to:
- Discuss daily activities, talk about past experiences using both the passato prossimo and imperfetto tenses, and express future plans.
- Interact in everyday social situations, such as making appointments, asking for advice, and giving directions.
- Express opinions, make suggestions, and talk about your preferences and feelings with more confidence.
- Understand simple texts and conversations related to familiar and common topics, and write short texts about personal experiences.
In the Level A2 (Part 1, 2 & 3) we cover Chapters 11-15 of the following books (not included in the course rate).
