In 2012, we founded Italia In Ohio, LLC, and began teaching Italian language and culture to adults in Columbus, OH. Over the years, our offerings expanded to include Study Abroad programs, classes on specific topics such as Art, Music, and Movies, and other immersive experiences.
In 2021, we took a significant step forward by creating the Italian Dream Academy (IDA), a place where dreams take shape. With a newly designed curriculum, exciting events, innovative classes, and a growing community of students, we’ve transformed our mission. Today, we proudly serve not only Central Ohio but also students across the U.S., including Pennsylvania, Colorado, Washington DC, Florida, and more…—and we aspire to expand internationally.
At IDA, we cater to a wide range of interests and aspirations: Are you curious about tracing your family roots or delving into the world of Italian Opera? Considering retiring in Italy or enhancing your professional credentials with Italian? Preparing for an immersive study abroad experience or simply fulfilling a lifelong dream of speaking Italian?
No matter where you are in your journey or what level of Italian you currently have, we’re here to inspire, motivate, and guide you. Together, we’ll help you make your Italian dreams a reality.
IDA offers a structured program carefully designed to align with the QCER levels outlined by the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). This ensures that our students can measure their progress against international standards and gain the confidence to use Italian fluently and effectively. Whether it’s for travel, personal enrichment, or professional purposes, our program equips learners with practical skills to navigate Italian culture and language with ease.
By following this structured path, our students feel at ease when traveling to Italy, engaging with its rich culture, or incorporating Italian into their personal and professional lives. They know their language abilities are internationally recognized, giving them a sense of accomplishment and readiness.
