Join us for an unforgettable event at the Columbus Museum of Art dedicated to Artemisia Gentileschi, one of the most powerful voices of Baroque painting. We’ll begin with a presentation exploring Artemisia’s life, her time in Naples, and the vibrant artistic world she encountered there. We’ll dive into the roles and representations of women in her paintings, where female figures emerge with extraordinary strength.
Then we’ll take a guided tour in Italian, discovering her masterpieces up close along with works by the artists active in Naples during her stay.
Finally, we’ll gather for an open conversation to share impressions, ask questions, and connect past and present through art.
